In 1992, Louis Delagrange Sr. founded Wood Enhancing by Delagrange with the support of his wife Ruth Ann and their family- a pivotal moment that began a lasting legacy of craftsmanship, integrity, and exceptional quality that has stood the test of time.

      We began as a family owned company and still are today. Co-Owners Louis Delagrange Sr., Louis Delagrange Jr., and Leon Delagrange are in the shop and in the field constantly, always striving to give you the best of both their minds and their handiwork. Our manufacturing is done on the family farm, right next to the original 1885 Amish farmhouse that has been home to Louis Sr. and his wife Ruth Ann for over 60 years! Three generations of the Delagrange family are working together on-site daily,  forming an experienced team that blends tradition with modern innovation.

        Long before taking that initial leap of faith to start the business, our foundation was built on integrity, diligence, and invaluable life lessons.  Louis Sr. and Louis Jr. spent a combined 45 years honing their skills as dedicated employees at Dutch Made Custom Cabinets, with both men rising to the title of plant manager at their respective branch of the company before striking out on their own. Their dedication occasionally meant walking five miles to work in the morning, sometimes through snowstorms, just to get the job done. ​

 Leon, the younger son, has spent over 30 years in the family business. His love for innovation and commitment to quality is an essential part of our brand. He carefully reviews each and every project before production, his eye for detail working overtime to ensure every piece is cut accurately and each piece of trim is accounted for. ​​ In the paint room, Ruth Ann brings that same meticulous eye to the final touches. She carefully inspects every item and verifies the quality and color accuracy, ensuring your cabinetry arrives with a pristine, velvety-smooth finish.
